Anti Cancer Meditation
These colours - white, blue, green, red
and yellow - carry the energies of archetypal, primordial forces, five basic
kinds of qi (chi). As such, they can also be directed in sequence to other
parts of the body that need healing and harmony, rather than to the particular
organs to which these colours belong.
One variation of this technique is a method that is advised as an adjuct
to medical treatment for cancer:
Look at the following
Six Colours - white, red, yellow, green, blue, black
- and imagine their qi (chi) going in this
sequence to the afflicted cancer cells.
This colour sequence derives from the healing power of Quan-yin, the personification
of Compassion.
I would suggest breathing in each colour and exhaling the toxins and cancerous
energy while the healing energy of Quan-yin stays behind. Nine breath cycles
for each of the colours.
After the Meditation above try the following Taoist chant/prayer: "She
Who Hears the Sounds of the World" which is a dedication to Quan-yin
- the sounds being tears and laughter.
Quan-yin is the embodiment of Compassion and Wisdom. In most of the Taoist
temples of China there were rituals and prayers offered to Quan-yin so that
all of the new-found healing energy and wisdom could be put to right use.
The chant is sung:
NAMU / QUAN SHIR YIN / PU / SA
![]()
Na mu / Quan / shir / yi - n / pu -
u - u / . sa - a

Na mu / Quan / shir / yi - n / pu - u - u / . . sa
The words mean:
Namu = "I bow to" or "I offer
respect to" / "I join with"
Quan-shir-yin = "She who hears the sounds
of the world"
Pu Sa = "Being of wisdom"
