Barb Cowling | Barb is a self taught Artist who lives in Victoria B.C. Her Artistic inspiration was born while living and working in the Cowichan Valley. Her love of natures beauty was transformed into a host of unique forms; from masks made of Paper Mache and Lichen, to Lichen Jewellery. Now, Barbara translates her love of natural beauty by using the mediums of Acrylic Paint and beach rock. Here the rock forms become her canvas, born anew as Animal Rock Art.  |

In August of 2006, Barb and friend Madeleine Renaud, held an Art Show at the "Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria". Media coverage was overwhelming and greatly appreciated.
Through the Arts Councils advertising, a reporter for the Victoria Times Colonist, wrote an article on the show. Opening night drew quite a crowd. A Channel news came down to the Gallery and interviewed Barb.
